Various versions have evolved over the years why?
Because of the process of natural selection, which is fueled by random mutations in DNA and the interaction with environmental pressures, "various versions" of things change over time. This is because small genetic variations within a population that give an advantage in a particular environment are more likely to be passed on to future generations, resulting in gradual changes in a species' characteristics over time. Depending on their survival benefits, different versions become more or less prevalent.
