This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the use of our platform, including shipping, returns, payment, cancellation, and other important policies.

1. Shipping Policy

(a) Processing Time:

Processing time varies depending on the type/characteristics of item (perishable, non-perishable, volume, weight, etc.) and shipping method (by land, sea, or air), including shipping type (local, continental, or international).

• Local shipping: 2 - 5 business days (by land). 
• Continental shipping: 14 - 20 business days (by air); 30 - 45 business days (by sea). 
• International shipping: 14 - 20 business days (by air); 45 - 60 business days (by sea). 

(b) Shipping Method:

1. Local shipping (By land: Standard or Express). 
2. Continental shipping (By air: Standard or Express; By sea: Standard). 
3. International shipping (By air: Standard or Express; By sea: Standard). 
4. Use of shipping agencies. 

(c) Shipping Fees:

1. Free local shipping for items weighing up to 5kg and within a 5km radius from the item location.
2. Paid local shipping for items above 10kg and beyond 5km from the item location (cost determined by local shipping agency and borne by customer). 
3. Continental and international shipping costs determined by shipping agency and borne by customer. 
4. The services of the shop shall be deployed to facilitate arrangements for shipping at the expense of the customer. 
5. The shop shall not be liable for any damages or loss of item once dispatched to the shipping agency and shipping details including tracking code forwarded to the customer. 

2. Returns and Exchanges Policy

(a) Return Eligibility: Items can be returned within 5 business days from receipt if they do not meet advertised standards. Exceptions include perishable items, custom-made items, digital downloads, and live animals. 

(b) Return Process:

1. Customer notifies shop service of dissatisfaction immediately upon receipt.
2. Customer initiates return process within defined timeframe (3 business days) and requests replacement. 
3. Customer notifies customer support center immediately, if shop service refuses to receive disputed item. 
4. Return and replacement shipping costs borne by customer. 

(c) Refund:

• Refund processed within 5 business days from receipt of returned item. 
• Refund covers item value only, excluding shipping charges. 

(d) Exchanges:

• Exchange available for same-type product or similar product of equal value. 
• Customer agrees to receive replacement item. 

3. Payment Policy

(a) Accepted Payment Methods:

• Bank transfer 
• Flutterwave 
• Credit card 
• PayPal 
• Other methods supported by Modesty Platform 

(b) Payment Terms:

• Payment due immediately upon confirmation of purchase. 
• Applies to custom and made-to-order items. 

(c) Payment Security:

• Transactions on Modesy Platform are confidential and end-to-end encrypted. 
• Payment gateways are protected. 

4. Cancellation Policy

(a) Order Cancellation:

• Orders can be cancelled before payment. 
• No cancellation after payment, except in exceptional circumstances (shop service discretion). 
• Refund less expenses incurred by shop service. 

(b) Non-cancellable Order:

• Order cannot be cancelled once item has been shipped or dispatched to shipping agency. 

(c) Refund for Cancellation:

• Refund processed within 15 business days from endorsed refund request. 
• Same payment channel as original payment. 

5. Privacy Policy

(a) Customer Information: We collect customer information to process transactions, provide customer support, and improve our services.

(b) Data Protection: We protect customer data using industry-standard encryption and security measures.

(c) Third Party Sharing: We do not share customer information with third parties, except as required by law or to facilitate payment processing.

6. Customer Service

(b) Response Time: We respond to customer inquiries within 24-48 hours.

(c) Dispute Resolution: We resolve disputes through our customer support center and, if necessary, through arbitration.
